What’s my IP address?

Your connection details

What is an IP address?

An IP address is the number that identifies your connection on the internet. Websites see it whenever you visit them, which is how they send data back to you. Your internet provider assigns it, and it can change over time or be shared by several people on the same network.

Why does it matter when a site is down?

If a website loads for others but not for you, your network, provider or a firewall may be the cause. Compare your result with a fresh check from our network to find out whether the problem is on your side.

We show your IP address back to you and do not store it with this page. See our Privacy Policy.
